Private Farm Tours
During your hour long tour we will educate you on the different types of alpacas and differences between alpacas and llamas. We provide healthy treats for you to feed the alpacas while on your tour. To book your tour click on the "Book An Alpaca Farm Tour" button on the home page.
WE ARE SORRY, WE DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A PUBLIC RESTROOM.
For Your and the Animals' Safety
For your safety, please wear closed-toe shoes. If muddy or wet, you might want to bring a change of shoes. In the summer months, wear protective clothing such as hats to shade your eyes, or warm clothes during colder months. We will provide treats to feed the animals. No outside treats are permitted to be fed to the animals on the farm. Masks are optional outdoors on the farm as long as we are maintaining 6 feet social distancing.
Other farm animals
We have 2 gentle horses, 10 chickens, and many alpacas and llamas on our 32 acre farm in Hillsboro, Virginia for you to meet while here for your tour. Above is our friendly horse, Candy, and a farm tour guest. Below is alpaca Maggie asking when the snow is going to stop. Please help teach your children not to chase any farm animals. We want the animals to feel safe and comfortable around our visitors. Thank you.
Scheduling and Rescheduling
Please click on the "Book An Alpaca Farm Tour" button on the Home page. It will direct you to a calendar of available dates and times. Our farm is family run and currently only the owners Bonnie and Doug are operating the farm. We will respond as soon as we are available as you are trying to schedule your special event. We work with you to reschedule your tour should there be incliment weather or other reasons for rescheduling. At times of incliment weather we may close the farm and will need to reschedule your tour. We are currently booked every weekend in April 2021 for shows, shearing, and weddings.
