This fall we have decided to save some money. If you like to save money, try a Do It Yourself IgG. Instead of paying the vet $100 a pop, I bought an IgG test plate from Triple J Farms for $88. I can now do 21 tests (plus the 3 sample readings). I already had the centrifuge from our fecal testing seminar, spent some time reading and googling the internet and wella, IgG done. I had the vet pull the blood, ran the samples and double checked it with the lab. Lab reading matched my reading. Success. If you want to know how to do it yourself, send me an email or call Double 8 Alpaca Ranch.
